Overview

Resource Utilization:  Responsible for providing financial analysis and projection modeling of St. Joseph's Healthcare System's resource utilization including clinical care cost and statistical analysis.  Works as part of a financial analytics team, provides recommendations to Senior leadership on financial performance trends and opportunities.

Managed Care:  Responsible for providing financial analysis and projection modeling of St. Joseph's Healthcare System's managed care and other payer contracts. Works as part of a financial analytics team, provides recommendations to Senior leadership on financial performance trends and opportunities.

Responsibilities

Supports leadership in the development of business plans and proposals.� Assists in the identification and analysis of program revenue and cost assumptions. Communicates findings with management of clinical and financial data with respect to cost, profitability and resource utilization of hospital services. Maintains working knowledge of industry� trends. Provides ongoing comparative analysis for hospital leaders. Determines end users needs and provide information in usable formats, ensuring reliability and validity of the information being analyzed. Attends assigned internal and external� Departmental, Service Line and other Administrative meetings. Supports data analytic requests as needed. Maintains working knowledge of DSS System data warehouse and report writer. Understands related 'feeder' systems to DSS System and extracts appropriate data elements for analytics.� - Competent in Siemen's Contract Manager, HQ, Cube data writers as well as Crystal report writer and Microsoft Exce. Meets all required competencies for department, unit and/or hospital. Responsible for performing all other duties as assigned. ����� Special Projects Resource Utilization:
Develops analytical reports integrating clinical and financial data for senior and middle management decision making.� Understands financial implications of� healthcare system's expense and resource utilization issues. Supports hospital's day to day data requirements including routine reporting and ad hoc data queries. Identifies and communicates resource utilization trends and issues to hospital leadership.� Works with relevant hospital department's) to facilitate problem resolution. Managed Care:
Develops analytical reports integrating clinical and financial data for senior and middle management decision making.� Understands financial implications of� healthcare system's revenue cycle and commercial, federal and other payer contracting issues. Support hospital's day to day data requirements including updating and monitoring System's Contract Manager and ad hoc data queries. Identifies and communicates revenue cycle trends and issues to hospital leadership.� Works with relevant hospital department's) to facilitate problem resolution.

Qualifications

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired� through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in related field� and two to three years of previous work related experience.� For Resource Utilization requires experience in healthcare finance/statistical analysis. For Managed Care requires experience in managed care/revenue cycle analytics..
