Assists Rehabilitation Clinicians in all aspects of the patient's therapeutic treatment. Is responsible for preparation and cleaning of work area and equipment. Assists with clerical functions. Transports patients. Participates as full staff member of Rehabilitation Department meetings, projects and programs.
Assists clinicians with patient's during treatment using proper body mechanics and following all safety guidelines Assures adequate supplies and linens in area of responsibility. Rotates through all areas of Rehabilitation Department and performs site specific duties. Accepts variation in work schedule associated with rotation to different areas. Performs clerical support tasks as assigned. ( chart retrieval, faxing, copying, scheduling, data collection, survey processing, etc.) Provides feedback in an effective and timely manner with all staff regarding patient status and change of status. Transports patients in a timely manner, using the appropriate transport vehicle, seeking assistance when necessary, adhering to hospital and regulatory agency Patient Identification policy and Hand Off Communication Policy. Monitors patients in accordance with safety precautions, utilizing monitoring equipment as appropriate. Provides appropriate interventions in case of emergency. Participates in departmental meetings or reads minutes as necessary to assure compliance with disseminated information. Responsible for performing all other duties as assigned. Prepares and cleans all treatment areas following infection control guidelines at all times. Meets all required competencies for department, unit and/or hospital. Special Projects
Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and less than one year of previous work related experience. CPR certification required.
