     Job Overview

     

    Responsible for supervising officers assigned to his/her tour of duty. Ensures all incident reports are clear and concise when entered into the computer. Reviews and approves all officers logs before they are finalized. Oversees that all hospital/security equipment is handled with care and the appropriate precautions are practiced to safeguard them. All appropriate logs are utilized to document the use as required. Reports all issues to the security manager in a timely manner and trouble shoots and calls for service when appropriate.

    Responsibilities

    Ensures incident reports are clear, concise, and free of spelling and grammatical errors when entered into the computer. Reviews and approves all officers logs before they are finalized. Ensures all necessary follow-up is conducted as appropriate to resolve any outstanding issues, or open cases. Keeps Security Manager informed of the status of incidents. Complete all other necessary paperwork as required accurately. Ensure everyone�s overall physical appearance is neat and clean. Insures that everyone wears the appropriate uniform and uniform is clean, neat, and crisp, at all times. Ensures everyone�s personal hygiene meets hospital and departmental standards at all times. Ensure that officers report to work on time and in proper uniform. Assigns duties in a timely manner and insures officers give and receive pass-on information about post activities to incoming and outgoing officers. Ensures that officers follow post orders as written and they project an alert, professional, and positive image, at all times. Provides the security manager with a monthly schedule for officers assigned to him in a timely manner. Oversees that all hospital/security equipment is handled with care and the appropriate precautions are practiced to safeguard them. All appropriate logs are utilized to document the use as required. Reports all issues to the security manager in a timely manner and trouble shoots and calls for service when appropriate. Meets all required competencies for department, unit and/or hospital.     Qualifications

    Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and three to five years of previous work related experience required (Military or Police experience preferred). Valid driver’s license required, as well as compliance with Qualifications to Drive a System Vehicle as well as all policies as outlined in the SJHS Fleet Management & Safety Program.
