     Job Overview


    Responsible for the management of  medium to large departmental IT projects.  This position will manage all IT toolset repositories and reports. Manages strategic and large projects and facilitates project meetings, takes minutes and distributes and follows up on action items, risks and issues with the project team members, vendors and stakeholders.  Serves as the PMO liasion with all departments and vendors on project intake process, inquiries and project status.  Responsible for collecting and filing project artifacts including Project Status Reports, Project Minutes, Project Charter, Project Issues and Project Risks.  Works with project teams in developing and maintaining project budgets and actuals.  Creates and maintains project schedules and arranges large meetings for project teams.


    • Manages medium to large project teams.  Organizes and conducts project team meetings,  communicates effectively and provides clear direction and guidance to the project team.
    • Develops and maintains project artifacts including project plan, testing plans, risk documents, contracts, issue tracker, project budget and actual.
    • Works with departmental clients to develop project charter, project plan, project budget, synergies, and risk documents.
    • Oversees, monitors and communicates project related issues, scope changes, and variances that may arise during the project life cycle and applies best practices to resolve or mitigate project issues.
    • Identifies, contributes and  documents best practices and improve the PMO's methodology, deliverables, reports, and templates.
    • Meets all required competencies for department, unit and/or hospital.
    • Responsible for performing all other duties as assigned.


    Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired  through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field and three to five years of previous work related experience.  Formal Certification in Project Management, PMP from Project Management Institute preferred.  Work requires analytical ability to collect information from diverse sources and apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems. Must possess strong customer service, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required. Experience with MS Project, Workfront/AtTask, SharePoint and Healthcare experience are preferred.
