Responsible for greeting patients and visitors and directing them to correct department. Scheduled exams and gives patient instructions including preps according to established guidelines and procedures. Answer incoming calls for entire department, directing and screening them accordingly.
Greets patients and visitors, directing them to their desired destinations. Answers incoming calls, screening and directing them accordingly, and/or takes messages. Schedules exams and gives instructions/preps for exams, according to availability and time slots, as per established guidelines and procedures. Obtains and/or verifies patient demographics and insurance information. Activates appropriate patient accounts associated with scheduled exams. Performs all related clerical duties such as obtaining and photocopying identification, insurance cards and consent forms. Prints and reviews daily schedules, makes corrections/revisions and distributes to appropriate areas. Identifies, successfully works through and resolves problems as they occur. Efficiently utilizes Invision and the current reporting Computer Systems. Meets all required competencies for department, unit and/or hospital. Responsible for performing all other duties as assigned. Special Projects
Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and three to six months of previous work related experience. Requires contact with patients and/or visitors which involves ordinary courtesy. Requires the ability to read and understand instruction, add and subtract numbers, and make comparisons between numbers and letters.
