Under general supervision and according to departmental policy and procedures; receives and deliver supplies, maintains and distributes medical gas cylinders throughout hospital, adhering to safety precautions and OSHA requirements. Educate all users on safety precautions and proper handling of medical gas cylinders.
Delivers, maintains, and checks medical gas cylinders for patients receiving therapeutic respiratory care. Maintains and monitors liquid O2, Nitrous Oxide, and Nitrogen Bank. Receives supplies and equipment and distributes throughout the hospital. Maintains and plus monitors equipment due fro preventive maintenance. Repairs broken equipment such as flowmeters, gauges, and outlets. Maintains monitor special gas mixtures for ABG and PFT labs. Makes O2 rounds to ensure all tanks are secured throughout the institution. Trains personnel on transport tank safety. Reserves Emergency Equipment-Responsible to keep emergency reserve of gases available in case of emergencies. Meets all required competencies for department, unit and/or hospital. Responsible for performing all other duties as assigned. Special Projects
Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and less than one year of previous work related experience.
