     Job Overview


    Responsible for intake screening to determine eligibility for program. Accurately enters all data into ACCESS computer program. Print and distribute WIC food vouchers. Does anthropometric and hematological screenings. Answer telephones, schedule appointments, and respond to all applicants queries. Maintains all records and documentation as required by State WIC Regulations.


    Does intake screening and enter all data accurately into WIC ACCESS computer system. Determines eligibility based on WIC ACCESS system feedback. Provides information to applicants and participants on the proper use of all food vouchers and other relevant regulations. Always act in a courteous and professional manner. Refers all problems and unusual situations to site representative or supervisor. Does anthropometric screening including blood work. Complete all documentation on paper and in WIC ACCESS system as required. Travels to satellite sites as scheduled by supervisor. Assist sin loading and unloading of all equipment and materials necessary on arrival and departure. Files paperwork in participants folders, and file in correct location. Removes old files and move to termination cabinets. Keep all filing up to date. Distributes checks, obtain signatures, and instruct participants on use of all vouchers including Farmer's Market. Operates check printer and monitor for accuracy as needed. Answers telephone in pleasant and courteous manner. Makes appointments for future visits; answers all queries, and maintains a high level of customer service. Works cooperatively with nutrition staff and site representative to minimize waiting time and maintain quality of service to participants. Maintains any required manual statistics and reports assigned. Meets all required competencies for department, unit and/or hospital. Responsible for performing all other duties as assigned.     Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and less than one year of previous work related experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. State Blood work Training required. Ability to drive is desirable but not mandatory.
