    Responsible for addressing the developmental, physical and emotional needs of children in the classroom under general supervision and according to established procedures. Stock classrooms and assist teachers in preparing the classroom daily for set up and closing. Kitchen Responsibilities: Under general supervision and according to established procedures maintain kitchen and pantry according to sanitary codes and apportions and serve lunch and snacks on a daily basis.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Job Functions Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, interacting, initiating and encouraging children's development in all areas of growth. Assist in preparing the learning environment and implementing the daily program as directed by supervisor or other person in charge. Help individual babies/children with toileting (diapering as needed), dressing, and all self help skills as appropriate for child's age. Help maintain indoor and outdoor environment, equipment, materials and supplies, etc. Develop a cooperative and supportive attitude within the room, on the play yard or wherever working with children. Serve as a liaison between parents and teachers concerning child's day as needed and/or directed by supervisor or other person in charge. Participate as an active member of the team to fulfill the goals of the Child Care Center. Meets all required competencies for department, unit and/or hospital. Kitchen Responsibilities Clean and sanitize work area and kitchen equipment. Maintain a clean and hazard free work area. Handle, prepare, and store all food items within established department and health code guidelines, maintaining temperature and food quality. Cover, label and date all stored food items. Maintain food supplies and re-order as needed. Test and record temperatures of hot foods, refrigerators, freezer. Responsible for performing all other duties as assigned. Special Projects

    Qualifications

    Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and one to two years of previous work related experience.
