Responsible for collecting and maintaining patient data required for NJ Cardiac Cath Lab Data Registry. Liaison with the State of NJ Dept of HHS and hospital Administration re: data submission. Informs administration of changes in requirements. Participates in various projects related to statistics, information management, Quality assurance in any of the related areas within the Division of Cardiology. Supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph's Healthcare System and on his/ her assigned unit.
Collects and maintains patient data required for NJ Cardiac Cath Lab Data Registry. Submits accurate and timely, quarterly submitted data to NJ State Registry. Liaison with the State of NJ Dept of HHS and hospital Administration re: data submission. Informs administration of changes in requirements. Generates data reports for quality assurance, monthly STEMI meetings, Ad Hoc meetings. Attends regular department Quality meetings relevant to CCL Registry, STEMI meetings and regularly reports on status of data entered and quarterly data submission. Assists with various projects related to statistics, information management, Quality assurance in any of the related areas within Division of Cardiology. Demonstrates competent behavior in the professional role, including activities related to quality of practice, education, professional practice evaluation, collegiality, collaboration, ethics, research, resource utilization, and leadership. Remains current as to changes made to NJ Cath Lab Registry required data entry and updates Administration Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment: Provides individualized health teaching and promotion. Practices in accordance with National Patient Safety Goals. Meets all required competencies for department, unit and/or hospital. Responsible for performing all other duties as assigned. Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or closely related field, and one to two years of previous work related experience. Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey. Required department specific orientation and department specific certifications such as PALS, ACLS, etc. Requires analytical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment, attention to detail and problem resolution. Must possess strong customer service, communication, organizational & interpersonal skills.
