     Job Overview


    Responsible for assisting the Director of Radiology in providing on site oversight of the planning, staffing, and operations of the radiology facility in order to maintain efficient and effective operations as they relate to patient care delivery.


    Acts as the on-site liaison between physician, technical, and clerical staff in the radiology area in order to maintain effective communication and conformity regarding established processes and policies for operations. Conveys pertinent information to the Director in a timely manner. Assists the Director with creating and prioritizing the operating and capital budgets for the area, including assembling all necessary back-up information, as well as providing experiential input on patient volume trends, patient preferences and strategic directions. Oversees staff work assignments, including on-call work assignments where applicable, in order to maintain adequate staffing levels that are appropriate for the demands of daily workloads and patient volumes. Ensures that all reporting documentation (e.g., payroll records, statistics, QA data, etc.) are submitted to the appropriate recipient in a consistently timely manner and were reviewed for accuracy prior to submission. Mentors and evaluates staff in order to optimize department operations, patient safety, and conformance to all licensing and regulatory agencies. Meets all required competencies for department, unit and/or hospital. Responsible for performing all other duties as assigned. Special Projects


    Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or closely related field and three to five years of previous work related experience. ARRT registration preferred. State of New Jersey licensure required. Work requires analytical ability to collect information from diverse sources and apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems.
