 Job Overview

Responsible for assisting with the scheduling, staffing and operational aspects of the MRI section in the department. Performs MRI scans and provides guidance to MRI technological staff in order to ensure a high quality of work. Assists in the orientation and training of newly hired MRI staff. Utilizes a variety of equipment including the MRI scanner, power injectors, as well as computers and various software programs to enter patient related information into hospital databases. Contributes to the overall excellence of the department through commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skills.

Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and three years of MRI experience required Advanced registry in MRI required. Requires the analytical ability to resolve problems that require the use of basic specific, mathematical, or technical principles and in depth experience based knowledge. Requires the ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families.
