Job Overview
Responsible for coordinating all maintenance and repair activities performed by assigned staff at SJHMC. Routinely inspects Facility to identify problems with systems or equipment. Supervises and schedules staff in one or more disciplines within the department including all HVAC Mechanics, Electricians, Plumbers, Metal Fabricator and General Mechanics. Responsible for budgetary compliance for projects. Troubleshoots and repairs of all types o HVAC Refrigeration. Electrical System and Plumbing. Monitor staff performance thru TMA to maintain high level of services
Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and one but less than two years of basic technical or occupationally specific training in H.V.A.C. and two to three years of previous work related experience. EPA Type4 Certification required. Valid driver’s license required, as well as compliance with Qualifications to Drive a System Vehicle as well as all policies as outlined in the SJHS Fleet Management & Safety Program. Work requires the ability to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles. Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters, understand written and verbal instructions, record data, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel.
