    Job Overview Facilitates processes to expedite patient throughput, coordinates prioritizes and optimizes patient flow activities. Assist in the coordination and prioritizing of Inpatient bed assignments including transfers from external hospitals. Facilitates the acceptance of external transfers and serves as the liaison between physicians, hospitals, and other care providers who seek to refer to SJHMC. Provides clinical expertise, quality assessment and medical communication for a safe appropriate transfer. Evaluates processes tracks and collects data on all areas within the Logistics realm. Coordinates and refines a customer centered process for the Bed management, Transfer Center and Transport Departments. Supports /guides the Patient Transport Dispatcher in prioritizing patient transport assignments. Acts as a liaison for the patient transport dispatcher in times of conflict.


    • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or closely related field and five to seven years of previous work related experience in Acute Care Hospital, preferably in the Critical care area, with diverse clinical background.
    • Care Management experience is beneficial.
    • Successful completion of BLS required; ACLS preferred.
    • Ability to work independently, set priorities, accept and adapt to change, must be able to multi task and posses excellent customer service skills, computer skills and negotiating skills.
    • Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.
